Job Summary
The Phoenix Recovery Centre is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for our Opioid Recovery Program who has experience in a community-based setting and exceptional customer outreach skills. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications and providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals. If you are passionate about helping people overcome addiction and have the skills we are looking for, we encourage you to apply today.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all aspects of operations including order entry, medication dispensing
processes, timely delivery, reporting, invoicing, ordering, and inventory
management to ensure accuracy.
• Dispensing prescription drugs to patients and offering their expertise on how to
safely use prescribed medicines.
• Monitoring customers’ drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing
patients of any potential side effects.
• Instructing patients on how and when to take prescribed medications.
• Monitoring attendance and adherence, alerting the treatment team to positive and negative changes in behavior and to possible relapse.
• Providing education and monitoring drug therapy.
• Ensures compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations, policies and procedures and accrediting body standards.
• Participates in the development of new and innovative ways to improve processes.
• Assists in the training and orientation of new employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
• Licensed in good standing with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and able to prescribe for minor ailments
• Injection certified Pharmacist is an asset
• Strong team player and leadership skills
• Demonstrates compassion and empathy for patients
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Provide initiative and good judgment in emergency and crisis situations.
• Demonstrate ability to deal with and/or guide others in resolution of conflict issues.
• Demonstrate ability to plan and establish workload priorities in collaboration with others.
